Hey tim when you gonna catch up guys like Omar S or Dam Funk for a set ??

Tom August 31, 2011 9:14 AM

First half of the Simonetti mix is great. Second Dam Funk, get him up with James Pants.

Sammy August 31, 2011 10:47 AM

simonetti's set was great. wide music range and taste. you never know what he is going to play.

Tim Sweeney August 31, 2011 11:34 AM

I tried to get Omar S, but he won't do it! Dam Funk is definitely on the wish list. Hopefully that'll happen.

Alan Velazquez August 31, 2011 2:00 PM

Mike was awesome. Tim, So funny you did not like that last IBITHA song at all.

That Kalkbrenner song was great, Has a nice Peter Gabriel feel to it. Surprised you hadn't heard of him before, but hey, there's so much rad music out there.

Entuojo August 31, 2011 3:25 PM

Anybody knows the name of the tune in between 5.Supersempfft's Wutt Wutt and the Paul Kalkbrenner track, its not listed on the tracklist. Thnks

I'm up for buying that new BIS 12" that was debuted last week, is it purchasable in the UK, i mean, online using pounds or euros rather than dollars etc...
Or does that sound daft? i wanted a BIS Tshirt a while back but got stumped when i tried- this is probably more to do with me than with the internet to be honest but nevermind eh...
To be honest, the Paradis track is probably not one of the best pieces i've heard on this amazing show over the years (even though it is class- are we spoilt or what?)... and i've been introduced to some amazing stuff on here fair do's so i mean this as a superlative and not an insult (i dont want to sound like our mental brother Victor- i wont be stalking you .) i'm not even that into vinyl anymore, but i'm up for supporting the independent labels, more than ever now especially with a load of the Warp, Brownswood and Ninja Tunes stuff etc. going up in smoke when the Sony building went up in smoke in the London riots- sad times politics aside... I guess i'm asking if your merchandise is accessible to those of us/you who aint all that good at online shopping and i'm sure Tim that a lot of people would view this as an obstacle???? Keep on keeping on!!!

Tim Sweeney August 31, 2011 8:28 PM

It will be available in record stores starting Sep 20th

Carleton September 1, 2011 2:24 PM

Tim check out this movie Berlin Calling that stars Paul Kalkbrenner (fritzs brother I think)... its suppose to be about an international DJ abusing drugs and his ups and downs and so on ...but I mostly was blown away by how nice Germany's drug treatment centers are and how they let you mess around with Ableton all day! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1213019/

James September 2, 2011 2:12 AM

Holy shit, where can I get that Nilsson edit?

alteredbeast September 2, 2011 11:29 AM

BIS, fantastic stuff like always. My question is to whether I can get Teddiedrum - Miami (Mike Simonetti "rejected by the artist" Remix) anywhere, or was it just a one-off? Looking forward to the Drake next weekend!

koiboy September 4, 2011 8:13 AM

i like that Teddiedrum track, too !

BANGWEL September 4, 2011 9:15 PM

Go Simonetti ! True beauty when Bruce Hornsby track comes in + Slowdive, wow i'm a 20 yr old shoegazer again. Can't wait for Adelaide show in Oz \m/

brazen_guff September 6, 2011 9:52 AM

Beautiful, joyful sounds :)

subterfuge September 6, 2011 2:17 PM

Come on Tim! I was loving that track coming in, I had no idea you were such a snob. Really nice varied set, all's welcome on BIS!

And check out a film called Berlin Calling, staring none other than Paul Kalkbrenner. It's actually a pretty good flick. Sacha Funke and Paul's brother Fritz also make an appearance.

Greatings from Glasgow

sanky September 7, 2011 5:29 AM

Arnaud October 24, 2011 12:32 PM

Amazing set by mike!!!

Glory Mae July 6, 2012 7:10 PM

"oh hah- wait, are you gonna do it like Swedish House Mafia style or...?"
-No... Nothing as flagrantly awful as that...

HAHA thank God for that. That's why we listen to BIS, and not "regular" public radio
